Oh, it's that time of year! Yeah, I know how fast the months pass... but on a daily basis I understand the importance of fundraising! Yeah, not my job, but ultimately... I understand that our ability to provide therapeutic retreats to families in need is a 24/7 effort for many! My Dad (the Cheese) never lets me forget how much our efforts make a difference! Check out our upcoming event for the LGBTQ community... they were always, always a part of our mission from day one!!! Anyway, listen, I handle security at DTD... I hope you are willing to support their mission at Red Hot 2 on May 17th. (Helping families... period!)

With a lick of respect,
Frederick, Security Guard

Thanks to all our sponsors and anglers who persevered through pretty rough waters on April 29th at our 7th Annual Fishing for the Dream, family fishing tournament. Seems like a good time was had by all! Thanks also to all our donors who helped put us over the top at our silent auction! The prizes were amazing and guests snapped up some great bargains!

Take a look at some of our award winners:

We were also pleased to welcome Captain Lee of the Bravo series, ''Below Deck'' who helped give out the awards.

Thanks also to our amazing committee for all their hard work- Rick Moore, Gene Stoller, Maurice Jemison and Zack Rice- Marina Manager of the Lighthouse Point Yacht and Racquet Club.

More than 200 people came, browsed our boutique and purchased some great items at the Friends' event on April 21st at Bru's Room - Coconut Creek.

Our thanks to Jeff Lynch, Bru's General Manager and his staff for all their help getting our event set up and running. Many folks who visited the boutique also stayed for dinner, and Bru's Room generously donated 10% of their food checks back to Deliver the Dream!

We are very happy to recognize Carla Marsten as May's volunteer of the month! She has been involved with Deliver the Dream since the fall of 2014. Carla has volunteered on five retreats and helped at seven special events. She has such a caring heart and is truly fantastic with our retreat families. She is an amazing volunteer who is constantly looking for ways to help us out! You rock, Carla!

The Ambrose family from Jacksonville (From the left- Franchon, Destina, Dezarae, Devion, David, Dorian) attended the recent retreat for families who have a parent who is a post 9-11 veteran.
